Central Coast Football and the Women’s Football Steering Committee are united in their commitment to providing a comprehensive framework for female football on the Central Coast.

Committed to fostering the growth and development of women’s football, this committee has been established to drive positive change and provide opportunities for female players across the region.

The Women’s Football Steering Committee has been working diligently behind the scenes to create a thriving environment for female footballers. Led by a diverse group of experienced individuals, their collective knowledge and passion have been invaluable in championing the cause of women’s football.

Comprising Hayley Routledge (Avoca), Donna Foster (Woy Woy), Catherine Higginson-Smith (Southern & Ettalong), Robyn Burkett (Wyoming), Nicole Stammers (Gosford), and Janene Flick (Kariong), this committee brings together a wealth of expertise and a shared vision for the growth of female football on the Central Coast.

Recognising the unique challenges faced by female athletes, the committee works to address any barriers and provide equal opportunities for girls and women to participate and excel in the sport they love.

The focus of the group…

With a clear vision for the future, the Women’s Football Steering Committee is focused on enabling growth and creating a sustainable pathway for female footballers on the Central Coast.

They aim to strengthen grassroots programs, enhance coaching and development opportunities, and establish a robust competition structure that nurtures talent at every level.

By investing in the long-term development of female players, CCF aims to unlock the region’s full potential and establish the Central Coast as a powerhouse for women’s football.

Their shared goal is to enable growth, foster participation, and empower girls and women to pursue their football aspirations.

Through collaboration, innovation, and input from the whole football community, the committee is working towards creating an environment where female football thrives.

Have your say – upcoming forums

In addition to their ongoing efforts, the Women’s Football Steering Committee is excited to announce upcoming player forums, set to take place in the north, central, and south regions of the Central Coast.

These player forums aim to provide a platform for the entire Central Coast Football (CCF) community to voice their opinions and actively contribute to shaping the future direction of female football in the region.

Players, coaches, parents, and stakeholders from all corners of the community are invited to these forums to foster open and constructive dialogue, ensuring that the collective vision for female football reflects the needs and aspirations of everyone involved.

CCF & the steering committee believe that engaging the community is vital for creating a sustainable and inclusive environment where female football can thrive, and they eagerly anticipate the valuable insights and ideas that will emerge from these upcoming player forums.
