2024 WILL SEE THE RETURN OF THE

MARGIN CUP

The perfect way to kick start your pre-season this February with a prize pool of $5000!

The 2024 Margin Cup for All Age competition will be help on February 3 & 4, and the following weekend for our Over 35’s competition on February 10 & 11 all at the home of Central Coast Football, Pluim Park.

Everything you need

to know

First created in 1987 by Central Coast Football Life Member Barry Margin, the Margin Cup was an annual end of season season competition held on the long weekend in October at Pluim Park. 

For the first time in over 20 years, the Margin Cup will be making its return to Pluim Park this February as a Pre-Season tournament for All Age & Over 35 Men and Women.

The 2024 edition of the Margin Cup will be a 9 A-Side tournament for players of all abilities and will span over two weekends in February.

For each weekend a post match function will occur on the Saturday at       Hawkesbury Brewing Co  

Teams

Team registrations will open on Wednesday the 20th of December 2023 and will close January 26, 2024 or when limits are reached.

Age Groups for the 2024 Margin Cup:
(Saturday 3rd & Sunday 4th February) 

All Age Men

All Age Women

(Maximum number of combined teams = 72)

 (Saturday 10th & Sunday 11th February)  

Over 35 Men

Over 35 Women

(Maximum number of combined teams = 72)

Registrations will be done via CCF MyCompApp. Each team will need to nominate a manager who will complete the registration for the team.

The team registration fee for 2024 is $400 per team.

(This includes referee fees)

Players

Each team must have a minimum of 9 players and a maximum of 13 registered players. 

If you registered to play football under Central Coast Football or Football NSW in 2023, you will be covered under their insurance. 

Any players from outside this area or who did not play in 2023 will need to pay an additional $15 per person to be covered to play in the 2024 Margin Cup.

Tournament structure

Every team will play a minimum of 3 games throughout the two days. After all pool games have been played, the top 8 teams from across the four pools will qualify for a sudden death finals series until the winner is crowned. 

Each game will 30 minutes long with a 5-minute break for halftime after the opening 15 minutes. 

a $5000 prize pool will be split amongst the tournament winners
