Job Title: Head Coach – Women’s Division One Football

Location: Woy Woy Football Club, Woy Woy, NSW

About Us:
Woy Woy Football Club is a proud and competitive football club with a strong commitment to fostering female participation in sport and developing talented athletes. Our Women’s Division One team is a key part of our football program, and we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head Coach to lead the squad into the upcoming season.

Role Overview:
The Head Coach will be responsible for leading, developing, and managing the Women’s Division One team. This role requires strong leadership, tactical expertise, and the ability to foster a positive and professional team culture. The successful candidate will work closely with players, assistant coaches, and the club committee to ensure both on-field performance and player development are prioritised.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, deliver, and review training sessions that develop technical skills, fitness, and tactical understanding.

• Lead the team on game days, including match preparation, strategy, and in-game management.

• Develop and implement a playing style consistent with the club’s values and vision.

• Mentor and support players to achieve their full potential both individually and collectively.

• Work collaboratively with assistant coaches, support staff, and the club committee.

• Promote a positive, inclusive, and professional team environment.

• Uphold the club’s commitment to player welfare, sportsmanship, and development pathways.

• Liaise with the Football Committee Chairman and Technical Director

Essential Criteria:

• Proven experience coaching at a senior women’s or equivalent competitive football level.

• Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.

• Demonstrated ability to develop players technically, physically, and mentally.

• A clear understanding of modern football strategies, tactics, and game management.

• Appropriate coaching qualifications/accreditation (Senior License Qualification or higher).

• Strong advocate for Women’s Football

• Current Working with Children Check

• Experience working in women’s football pathways.

• Ability to build strong relationships with players, parents, and the wider football community.

• Commitment to ongoing personal and professional development.
