Darren Sprod has been involved in the Central Coast Football community for over 30 years. He has been a referee, administrator and player.

As a referee he was the top referee on the coast for an extended period & has held positions on the Referees Council for some time.

Darren has been a Director of the CCF Board where he was the Chairman for several years. Darren moved into the role of CEO for CCF from 2013 until 2021 & throughout that period displayed a professional mindset.

This year Darren held the position of Chairman of Judiciary, you could say there hasn’t been many positions or roles that he hasn’t fulfilled.

Throughout the 2020/2021 Covid 19 pandemic, Darren was instrumental in guiding the organisation through an ever-changing landscape. Things were changing quickly and almost weekly. Darren was proactive and presented the CCF Board of Directors with scenarios that enabled the best decisions to be made for our members. Darren has been innovative in his approach to progress & change.

From adopting the first paperless team sheet system (iPad system) well before the member federations, gaining government funding through grants for the continual upgrade of Pluim Park, consisting of upgraded playing surfaces, new office building & player amenities, upgrading existing change rooms & the carpark upgrades, the development of the Five A-Side courts and the jewel in the crown would be the development of the CCF MyCompApp a wholistic end to end solution to assist our volunteers, referees, players & all of the Central Coast Football family.

Something that even FA & FNSW have failed to deliver.

His contribution to football on the Central Coast is undenied & the Board of Directors fully endorse that Darren Sprod be granted the honour of Life Membership of Central Coast Football.
