On a recent trip to Indonesia, Gwandalan Volunteer and Division 1 player Darren Clark along with his wife and family boarded their plane with a bunch of old Gwandalan Jerseys with the pure intention of donating the jerseys to the less fortunate.

Darren and his family, with the backing of Gwandalan Summerland Point Football Club, donated the jerseys to local kids in a small village called Jineng Dalem.

Jineng Dalem is located three hours north of Denpasar, Bali.

Darren and his family then followed this beautiful act up, playing a game of 5 A-Side football against the local side

After the 5 A-Side match, they all enjoyed a traditional dinner along with a friend of their family.

This kind gesture symbolises not only the heartfelt thinking from Darren and his family but also the Gwandalan club who put their unwanted and old jerseys to great use.

If you or your club has unwanted or unused kits, KitAid Australia does a fantastic job reaching out to clubs at all levels for jerseys that they can get out to deserving communities.

KitAid Australia is networking with the football world, collecting and distributing your old (or new) football kit to some of the most underprivileged communities across Australia and the Indo Pacific region.

It’s more than just a shirt!
