This weekend represents the final weekend of our ‘Oporto Youth Leagues’ regular season and thus, the final Oporto Youth Leagues ‘Match of the Week’ for 2019. This weeks featured match includes two sides whose season will not finish this weekend, as both have qualified for our newly announced 2019 ‘Mariners Finals Series’.
This weeks Oporto Youth Leagues ‘Match of the Week’ sees the U/13CS competition highlighted, with Ourimbah United and the Kincumber Roos ‘2’ selected as this weeks featured match.
First, lets check in on the result of last weekends Oporto Youth Leagues ‘Match of the Week’ featuring the Doyalson-Wyee Wolves and Kincumber Roos from the U/12D competition. The two sides played out a 1-1 draw last Saturday morning, with the result ensuring that Doyalson remain on top of the table, undefeated after 16 matches. Kincumber became just the second team all year to stop Doyalson from winning their match, a fantastic achievement!
This weeks featured match see’s equal-first placed Ourimbah travel to Frost Reserve to take on the fourth placed Kincumber Roos ‘2’ side on Saturday morning. Having lost just one match all season, Ourimbah have the opportunity to win the league championship tomorrow morning with a win, although that will depend on the result of Southern and Ettalong United’s result, whom they currently share first place with. They do come into this weekends match in good form having not lost in any of their previous 12 matches!
Kincumber also enter this weekends final match of the season in good form having not lost in any of their last six matches! The ‘Roos have assured themselves of a place in the ‘Mariners Finals Series’ based on their good form throughout the 2019 season. After the announcement of this mornings ‘Mariners Finals Series’ promotion, Kincumber will have plenty of extra motivation to continue their good form and seal a grand final spot and cash in on the great prizes up for grabs!
