Central Coast Football’s annual ‘Under 11 Tournament’ is fast approaching and the CCF competitions team have been working hard to prepare the event that is designed to aid the transition of Under 11 players from non-competition to competition based football.

As you may have already noted on your U/11 participants draw, there are no fixtures scheduled after the weekend of the 27th of July. These free weekends will be filled with our Under 11 Tournament fixtures, of which will be determined over the coming fortnight.

Although all Under 11 competitions are classified as ‘non-competitive’, CCF have been keeping track of scores throughout the season. On Monday the 28th July the competitions team will use these scores to seperate all Under 11 teams into pools of four. Similar to the concept utilised in the World Cup, teams will then play one game against each of the three other teams in their pool. These matches will take place on the first three Saturdays in August (3rd, 10th, 17th), weather permitting.

A points table will be kept and once these matches have been completed the top two sides from each pool will qualify for the ‘Under 11 Tournament’ grand final day to be held at Pluim Park on Saturday the 24th August. The grand finals will see the top two sides from each pool play each other, with the winners crowned the premiers of their division.

Further details regarding the draws/rules of the tournament will be released on Monday the 28th July after the completion of all regular season fixtures.
