After significant rainfall saw many of last weekends matches postponed, Oporto Youth Leagues football is set to return to the Central Coast this weekend!
This weekends Oporto Youth Leagues ‘Match of the Week’ sees us put a spotlight on the Under 12 A’s competition as the Toukley-Gorokan Gunners host Gosford City at Harry Moore Oval!
Round twelve’s Oporto Youth Leagues ‘Match of the Week’ saw Kariong United and the East Gosford Rams play out an entertaining 2-2 draw at Kariong Oval. A share of the points saw both sides remain in the top four, hot on the tail of the competitions leaders Mountains District.
Tomorrows match sees the seventh placed Toukley side host the fifth placed Gosford City team as both look to move into a finals position. Toukley have played out three draws and three losses over the last six weeks and will be looking to return to winning ways when they face Gosford tomorrow morning.
Gosford City, currently fifth, will likely move into the top four with a win tomorrow morning as they remain level on points with fourth placed East Gosford. In contrast to their opponents, the Dragons have only lost one of their last six matches (4W, 1D, 1L), with the loss suffered to competition leaders Terrigal United three weeks ago.
The last time these two sides played Toukley ran out big winners after they defeated the Dragons 7-2 in round three, indicating that tomorrows game should be full of excitement!
