This weeks Oporto Youth Leagues ‘Match of the Week’ involves the Womens U/14A competition.
It’s a third vs fourth battle as fourth placed Budgewoi FC host third placed Killarney District SC!
Last weekend’s match of the round feature involved the Mens 16A’s competition as Kanwal hosted the East Gosford Rams at Wadalba Sports Complex in a third vs second fixture, and the match certainly lived up to the billing. The second placed East Gosford side ran out eventual winners, getting up 3-2 in a five goal thriller. As well as collecting the three points, the Rams also took top spot on the competition table, overtaking previous leaders Killarney.
This week we turn our attention to Budgewoi Oval as it plays host to the match between the fourth placed Budgewoi FC girls taking on the third placed Killarney District SC girls. After suffering defeat in their opening two matches, the Budgewoi side have turned their season around and currently remain undefeated in five matches. Two 5-0 wins and a 6-0 win in recent weeks have seen them climb the ladder, currently sitting just three points behind the Killarney side they play on Sunday morning!
Killarney have also had a positive start to the season, winning four of their first seven matches! The Killarney girls have won their last three matches including a 9-1 win over Southern and Ettalong United a few weeks ago!
