Following on from yesterday’s notification of a suspension on all Football activity effective March 17, 2020 until April 14, 2020, we just wanted to let our Central Coast Football community that there is a silver lining.
At a time like this, it is important to remember that there is something to look forward to. We want to reiterate that this is just a delay for a few weeks, and, at this stage, we are geared up to continue with the 2020 football season from April 26, 2020. We feel that it is our duty to endorse safety measures to ensure protection in this time but we want to reaffirm that football will recommence. The importance of the sport to the community is understood and we thank you for your cooperation as we all navigate through this trying phase.
We can appreciate that these are uncertain times and there have been many instances that have resulted in alarm. However, we believe in adopting a positive, level-headed outlook amidst all of this ambiguity. We also can sympathise with the disruption that this suspension has caused, however, in this time we will commit to working on strategies that we can implement to ensure that the safety and health of all CCF members is a priority.
We are all passionate about the beautiful game and eagerly await the 2020 season resuming as much as we look forward to seeing everyone on the fields once this difficult period is through. Until then, we wish for everyone to remain healthy and safe.
