The Kanwal Warnervale Rovers Football Club’s U/14A’s side will travel south to Bennett Park, Roselands on Sunday morning for their Football NSW U/14 State Cup semi-final against Winston Hills FC. Starting as one of 64 sides entered in the knockout tournament, the Bulls have successfully navigated their way to the last four, with a spot in the State Cup final in sight.

The Bulls side, who currently sit one point off the lead in their CCF competition, started their State Cup journey back on Sunday the 5th of May. Kanwal drew a home tie with Castle Hill United from the Hills Football Association, with the match to be played at Budgewoi Oval. The Bulls won this match, sealing their progression to the competitions ‘Round of 32’ stage.

Two weeks later the side was to be in action again, this time on the road after drawing an away tie with Nepean FA’s Springwood United FC to be held at Jamison Park in Penrith. Once again the Bulls showed their class, emerging 3-1 winners to advance to the ‘Round of 16’.

Sunday the 2nd of June saw Kanwal face their longest road trip of the campaign after drawing a 9am kick-off at Myimbarr Park, Shellharbour, a location the best part of three hours away. The Bulls were to face South Coast United FC from Football South Coast for a spot in the last eight. A 1-0 victory in this fixture kept their dream run alive as they turned their attention to their impending quarter final clash.

Glad not to be on the road once again, Kanwal returned to Budgewoi Oval for their quarter final tie with North Sydney United from the Northern Suburbs Football Association. Expecting a tough match, the Bulls went down 2-1 on the day to a talented North Sydney outfit, however it was found that the visitors fielded an ineligible player, leading Football NSW to award the Kanwal side with a 3-0 victory, sealing their progression into the last four of the knockout competition.

This Sunday the side will be back in action as they head to Bennett Park, Roselands for their semi-final matchup with Winston Hills FC from the Hills Football Association. The details of the big match are as follows:
