This weeks Oporto Youth Leagues ‘Match of the Week’ involves the Mens U/16A competition.

Third placed Kanwal host second placed East Gosford on Saturday afternoon at Wadalba Sports Complex!

Firstly, we must congratulate last weekends ‘Match of the Week’ winners the Southern and Ettalong United W/18A’s side who were triumphant winners over third placed Berkeley Vale. The Southern girls managed seven goals in a 7-3 win to see their unbeaten start to the season continue for another week!

This weekends clash between second and third place is sure to be a cracking game in the M16A’s competition as two fairly evenly matched sides go toe-to-toe on Saturday afternoon. Kanwal, the home side, have only lost two of their opening six matches, both in close games to leaders Killarney. The Bulls have managed three draws and a win from their remaining four matches to leave them in third place on nine points.

Their opponents, 2nd placed East Gosford, have also started the season well managing four wins, one draw, and one loss from their opening six matches. The Rams one loss for the season was also to first placed Killarney, however their draw occurred the last time these two sides met in round two, as the sides were left with a share of the points after a 2-2 draw.

Check back next Friday for the next instalment of the Oporto Youth Leagues ‘Match of the Week’!

Best of luck to all CCF sides in their matches this weekend!
